Introduction

Diploma in Public Administration was introduced in 1973. It was a three year program and has been revised into 2 years and a half after the implementation of Outcome Based Education. It has produced thousands of graduates under this program. DPA is a program that covers multiple disciplines such as Administrative Law, Quantitative Science, Accountancy, Economics, English and Islamic Studies. As many as 10,000 graduates are currently holding various posts in both public and private sectors. In addition, graduates also may pursue in degree program where DPA is accepted as a prerequisite to proceed to a Bachelor Degree of Administrative Science or by using DPA as a foundation, there are graduates who have ventures to other fields of study such as Law, Economics and Management. Perhaps, this program may also suitable for the public servants who engage in public agencies; federal, state, local government and statutory bodies to pursue their study as diploma holders. The program is also offered in Melaka, Kedah, Terengganu and Sarawak.
