TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN ISLAND HOPPING

Boat snorkelling is one of the easiest yet fun ways to explore the underwater world of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, just 15 minutes boat ride from Kota Kinabalu city! Immerse yourself in the sparkling clear water, and keep your eyes peeled for a friendly turtle amid the colourful coral and busy fishes. Local lunch will be served on the nearby island, with some time for exploring the island, partaking in optional sea sports, or having a beach siesta. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

• Boat journey to the Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity.
• While the jellyfish season varies, it usually occurs during mid of the year or/and end of the year. Do be extra careful and inform our guides should you be stung. Rest assured that our guides are first aid trained.
• Jelly bugs are common in the waters but they are usually harmless and their stings will just cause some slight itch.
• There are no lockers on the island. Please take good care of your own belongings and do not bring valuables.

Overview Of Tour

Go on a leisure tour around Kundasang and Kota Kinabalu, highlighting the places of interest that make Sabah stands out among the travellers in the state. The tour starts in Nabalu, a small town with a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu. In Kundasang, you will experience the town’s charm, including Culvert View, Kinabalu Park and the ever-popular Desa Cattle Dairy Farm. After Kundasang, head back to Kota Kinabalu City for a beautiful sunset view overlooking the city from Signal Hill and more local market shopping.

About The Location

Nabalu

Nabalu has one of the best places in Sabah to view the majestic Mount Kinabalu, from its viewing platform. Browse among the local handmade crafts at the souvenir market or grab local snacks and fruits at the stalls for you to munch on as we travel up to Kundasang.

Kundasang

Kundasang is the go-to place for a short getaway, both for locals and tourists alike, and rightly so! Over the years, more and more places of interest have appeared in the area, including Culvert View that opens its door to the public in 2019. The town also houses Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, a top tourist spot popular for picturesque view of Mount Kinabalu, calves and goats that you can interact with, and freshly-made dairy products. Also located in Kundasang is Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s very first UNESCO World Heritage Site with 50 years’ worth of history.

Kota Kinabalu

As the state capital of Sabah, going around Kota Kinabalu is pretty much an experience in itself. Interesting landmarks are scattered throughout the city, and this tour visits Signal Hill, where you can get a stunning birds-eye-view of the whole Kota Kinabalu City; and the Filipino Handicraft Market, a place famous for cheap souvenir and fresh seafood.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Kota Kinabalu / Nabalu Town / Culvert View / Desa Cattle Dairy Farm / Kinabalu National Park Entrance / Kota Kinabalu City Tour

Pick up from the hotel lobby and meeting your tour guide of the day.

We will depart from Kota Kinabalu for a 1.5-hour journey to Nabalu Town for the Nabalu Handicraft & Souvenir Market. You will also be able to enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view of Mount Kinabalu from a nearby platform or buy local snacks and fruits at the food stalls.

After a 30 minutes drive, arrive at Culvert View in Kundasang. Here, you will be able to see the unique and colourful chalets, take pictures with the sky mirror and murals, or play with the rabbits in the nearby rabbit farm.

Not far from Culvert View is Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, popularly known as the “Little New Zealand” of Sabah. Get get a closer view of Mount Kinabalu, feed the calves and goats, or take photos of the beautiful scenery while enjoying their fresh milk or gelato.

After that, you will be taken to a local resort restaurant for lunch.

Before heading back to Kota Kinabalu, we will make a short pit stop at Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s very first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon your arrival here, you can enjoy the cold, fresh air while taking photos with the UNESCO signboard before departing to the next destination.

We will then return to Kota Kinabalu for a fun tour around the city, including views of the coastal city from atop Signal Hill, and enjoying the fresh seafood and local snacks at Filipino Handicraft Market.

By the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your respective hotels.
