POSTER PITCHING


Thank you for your interest in presenting your research at My_CASELT2019. Kindly adhere to these guidelines when preparing your presentation.

 

POSTER PRESENTATION

1. Each presenter will be provided with the location of his/her poster upon registration.

2. The poster should explain your research and its main outcome(s).

3. The poster should be A0-sized and in portrait orientation (841 mm X 1189 mm).

4. It should be concise, cost effective, reader friendly and visually appealing.

5. The poster must include a title, author(s), affiliation, introduction, methodology, discussion, conclusions and references.

6. Handouts (if desired) may be distributed.

 

*Presenters are required to prepare a hook and string to hang the poster on the panel
 

CRITERIA FOR POSTER PITCHING


1. The idea being pitched should address a pressing issue which is to be clearly explained and supported.

2. The solution(s) being pitched must be analytical and viable.

3. Each presenter is required to prepare a short (5 to 10 minutes) presentation that can be delivered in front of the judges during the presentation session.

4. The person(s) pitching the idea must also be persuasive.

5. All posters will be displayed throughout the conference.

6. All poster presenters are required to be present during the session.

 

JUDGING GUIDELINES


Marks will be allocated for the following criteria:

 

1. Motive: Is the problem clearly presented?

a. Is the research significant?

b. Is the research within an academic realm?

c. Is the research within an artistic context?

 

2. Thesis of hypothesis: Does the objective of the research address a problem?

a. Is the objective closely connected with the motive?

 

3. Method: Is the method of research appropriate?

a. Are the results clear and do they support the conclusions?

 

4. Delivery: Is the presentation persuasive?

a. Is the explanation logical, coherent and clear?

b. Is the presentation engaging?
